Writers: Do you want to learn how to navigate the inside track to landing a contract with a literary agent or an acquisitions editor?
Join Philip Martin for a hands-on workshop at Red Oak Writing’s studio, Saturday, December 9, 2017, in the education wing of Holy Trinity Church, located at 11709 W. Cleveland Ave, West Allis, Wisconsin.
For emerging novelists or authors of nonfiction book manuscripts who are seriously interested in pitching their work to publishers or agents, Philip will cover developing a strategic checklist; how to find and approach the right agents or editors; preparing the query, synopsis and pitch; how to increase the appeal of the work to gatekeepers in the book trade, and more.
A portion of the workshop will be spent writing and critiquing pitches, with personal attention to each participant’s project.
Advance registration is required. The fee for the 2.5 hour workshop is $45. For details visit: http://redoakwriting.com/for-adults/saturday-writing-workshops/landing-an-agent-book-deal/
